Accreditation of disability in a timely manner in patients with serius catastrophic illnesses

The aim of this study is to analyze whether the current regulatory system of disability accreditation for patients with evident severe catastrophic diseases complies with constitutional and human rights criteria. A descriptive analysis and bibliographic review have been carried out. The legal norms that correspond to the certification of disability, which does not include serious catastrophic diseases as a special group for the assessment, having these to carry out the legal procedures, updated documentation, complementary examinations, and surgical treatments must wait up to six months.
