Rice cultivation requires technological strategies to optimize the monitoring of environmental conditions and agronomic decision-making. The objective was to describe the functional and technical characteristics of an IoT system for the acquisition, processing and visualization of environmental data in rice cultivation. A quantitative, descriptive and non-experimental research was developed, focused on the functional evaluation of the SIMA-UNAS prototype using observation sheets and checklists. The results showed compliance with input, process, and output indicators, including real-time data capture, two-way communication, asynchronous processing, security through JWT and TLS, automatic panel updating, georeferencing, and remote actuator control. It is concluded that SIMA-UNAS constitutes a functional, safe and scalable architecture, useful for environmental monitoring and as a technological support to the agronomic management of rice cultivation.
